Description: We are seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our Children's Services team in Sennelager. This vacancy is available on a fixed term contract for approximately 12 months.
The Speech and Language Therapist works autonomously to lead and deliver speech and language therapy provision within a designated geographical area, ensuring assessment and intervention for all children presenting with the full range of communication delay/disorder.
The service is provided to military and civilian personnel and their families within the British Forces community. The caseload is predominantly paediatric, with the full range of presenting communicative delays and disorders. Our two SLT practitioners work within the Children's team, with strong working relationships with primary care and schools..
Person Specification: To apply you will need to be an experienced practitioner, with highly developed specialist knowledge across the full range of clinical work procedures and practices for paediatrics. You will have knowledge and experience in the use of a wide range of formal and informal assessment procedures and therapeutic approaches suitable for the client group. You must have a degree in Speech & Language Therapy and hold current HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
To carry out this role successfully you must have the ability and experience to manage a clinical caseload autonomously and efficiently. You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong team working relationships inside and outside the organisation. You should be competent in IT, particularly the use of Microsoft Office, patient information systems and the internet. You must have a full current driving license as the role involves travelling within the region.
