Occupational Therapist - Mental Health

We are seeking a committed and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our client's busy team at their specialist Mental Health Uni t, located in a leafy western suburb of Birmingham , between the city centre and Smethwick.
This is a full-time role but our client is open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity; however, fixed hours cannot be guaranteed.
Our client is a major provider of UK mental health care; dedicated to patients' health and wellbeing, offering a high standard of services, inspiring innovation, and providing programmes that are individually tailored to patients' specific needs. The unit is currently under expansion, with the development of new PICU and Young Persons' Acute services.
The successful candidate will support patients through activities and design personalised treatment programmes, with the aim of increasing independence, confidence and control. Alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, nurses and therapists, the OT will help deliver an integrated and holistic approach to mental health care.
Degree-qualified Occupational Therapist, with current valid HCPC registration.
A minimum of one year's post-registration experience in a Mental Health setting.
Experience in working with a specific therapy modality would be an advantage.
Up-to-date knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
