Cardiac Technologist - Echocardiography (Melbourne, Australia)
We are seeking an experienced Echocardiograph Cardiac Technologist to join our client's Echo team at their acute hospital site, based in Inner North Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria.
This role is initially offered on a one year fixed term contract basis from September 2016 with an option to extend beyond this period.
The salary is between AUD$90,000-$100,00 equating to approx GBP£52,000-£58,000 or €61,000-€68,000 euros.
Our client is keen to hear from suitably qualified British or European-trained Cardiac Technologists with extensive Echocardiography experience.
Offering assistance with Australian visa requirements and registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry ( ASAR ) this is an excellent opportunity to experience the exceptionally high standards offered by the Australian health system.
This centre of excellence is a major Melbourne teaching and research facility with numerous university and research institute affiliations, providing an extensive range of cardiac services to inpatients and outpatients.
These services include outpatient consultations, echocardiography, non-invasive testing (ECG, Holter monitoring), coronary angiography and percutaneous intervention for coronary and non-coronary applications (congenital and valvular), electrophysiological testing and ablation and device implantation (pacemaker, ICD).
The department provides 24-hour echocardiography and cardiac catheterisation laboratory services for acute myocardial infarction.
In-patients are managed predominantly in the 30-bed Cardiac and Thoracic Unit.
The department has links to the University of Melbourne and a major involvement in teaching, training and research at under-graduate and post-graduate levels for both nursing and medical staff.
Qualified Cardiac Technologist/Physiologist.
Seven years post-registration experience with extensive skills in Echocardiography.
Eligible for, or accreditation with the ASAR .
Available for a September or October 2016 start, and open to working for at least a 12 month period (including normal annual leave entitlement)
