Senior Radiographers/Mammographers - Nationwide
Senior Radiographers/Mammographers required for a number of permanent roles across Ireland for a cancer screening service. Prior experience/training in Mammography is not essential.
Successful candidates without prior mammography training will be required undertake the Post Graduate Qualification in Mammography (the Post Graduate training will be supported and financed by the service) if he/ she is not already in receipt of this qualification. This qualification must be attained within 2 years of appointment and both the clinical and academic modules of this course must be passed.
The Radiographer Senior (Mammography) will be primarily responsible for performing mammography to a high standard of technical quality in a caring and efficient manner and in line with established guidelines and operating procedures. The post holder will also be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and participate in assessment clinics and Multi-disciplinary team meetings and quality assurance.

Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc
(a) Individuals who qualified on or before the 30th October 2013 and have been engaged in the practice of the profession in the Republic of Ireland for a minimum of two (2) years fulltime, (or an aggregate of 2 years fulltime), between 31 October 2008 and 30 October 2013 must:
Hold a qualification in radiography recognised by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU. (see Applyru.ie)
Submit to the HSE proof of acknowledgement of application for registration on the Radiographer Division of the Radiographers Register, maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU. (*See NOTE 1).
(b) Individuals who do not meet the requirement set out in (a) above must:
Be registered in the Radiographer Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU.
Submit proof of recognition of their radiography qualification by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU, Applyru.ie, before a contract of employment can be offered.
Submit proof to the HSE of their application for registration in the Radiographers Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU before an offer of employment can be made.
Achieve registration in the Radiographer Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU prior to commencement of the contract of employment.

Candidates must have 3 years fulltime (or an aggregate of 3 years) post qualification clinical experience.
(d) Requisite Knowledge & Experience
Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
