Our client provides three specialist areas of care:
Adult Mental Health, Specialist Brain Injury and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. With hospitals and specialist centres across England and Scotland, we work in partnership with NHS and Local Authorities to provide person-centred quality health and social care services.
The Hospital in Maidenhead is a 60 bed Tier 4 CAMHS hospital for young people aged 12 -18 years with a range of mental health disorders including eating disorders and complex needs.
My client provides comprehensive assessment and treatment programmes working collaboratively with patients and their families or carers.
On the hospital site there is a purpose-built 29 bed psychiatric intensive care service (PICU) for patients with severe mental Illness who require very specialist and intensive treatment. The 20 bed eating disorders service is housed separately in the original Manor House.
As a Clinical Neuropsycologist working in this CAMHS Service, your main duties will be:
*To undertake psychological assessment of young people,.i.e. psychometric, cognitive and therapeutic assessments and provide formal assessment reports and recommendations for treatment
*To run and assist with the planning and provision of individual and group treatment and provide guidance in the development of psychological services within the therapy team/hospital
*To maintain written records of all formal contacts with clients in the case notes. To provide Care Planning Approach (CPA) review reports every 6 weeks and assessment/discharge summary reports for patients with whom they are involved
*To undertake literature reviews or applicable research that is directly relevant to the development or improvement of psychological assessment and treatment programs, as approved by the Therapy Lead
*To contribute to the evaluation of therapy services within the hospital as agreed with the Therapy Lead
*Good honours Degree in Psychology
*Postgraduate doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
*Chartered clinical psychologist (or meets criteria for chartership) & on HPC register of practitioner psychologists
